Chris Knibb and local born chef Denise Rix have a real following in the area with their talent for preparing the fish of the day, from Jonas , Lowesoft into superb dishes and with local farm produce such as Downham Ducks, Perkins butchers they like to use the best produce.

Crevettes £5.95 - three large crevettes grilled in garlic & herb butter serves with leaves (or in the bar with salad and new potatoes

Braised Lamb Shank £11.95 - Prime shank of lamb braised in a rich tomato, vegetable & cider gravy, served on a creamy mash

Belly of Pork £11-50 medium £14.95 large  - Tender slices of belly pork served with crispy crackling on a bed of apple mash with an English mustard and peppercorn sauce

Roasted Downham Duck (locally farmed by Chris Cross) 1/4 Duck £10.95 1/2 Duck £14.95 - Locally produced Downham duck roasted until crisp served with either port wine and redcurrant sauce or orange sauce

Fillet of Seabass with Spinach & Stilton £11-50- prime fillet of seabass pan fried and served with arich spinach & stilton cream, garnished with fresh asparagus on a bed of saute potatoes
